چکیده
Abstract This chapter describes the research conducted in Lower Danube case study to understand role of natural assurance schemes complex natural, economic and social contexts. In order improve accuracy, replicability scalability scheme be developed potentially implemented, we have concentrated our efforts on Dabuleni-Potelu-Corabia (DPC) enclosure, a land reclamation area exposed water-related risks. NAIAD Project proposed implementation wetland restoration project by designing Nature Based Solution (NBS) for dealing with flood risk. The Romanian aimed at providing support facilitate both local collaboration between different stakeholders engagement these decision-making policy setting, integrating their (local) knowledge results scientific models. entire process design intervention scenarios based NBS key co-benefits produced, followed assessment its effectiveness. Furthermore, assess DPC enclosure vulnerability hazards, performed an literature review development GIS infra-territorial indicator methodology. GIS-based indicators can lack insurance data, objective define most areas. together analysis were able provide reliable cost estimation damage related destroyed affected dwellings. should tool help select more appropriate NBS.

Defining stakeholder involvement in participatory design processes.
A participatory approach could be used to implement work place or organizational improvements. However, the question is which participants should be involved and how. In this paper the theoretical involvement in different steps of a linear stepwise approach is described and compared with the latest projects of 300 practitioners. From a theoretical point of view ergonomists and employees play an...
متن کاملUsing a Participatory Stakeholder Process to Plan Water Development in Koraro, Ethiopia
This article reports the results of a one-day participatory workshop in Koraro, Ethiopia conducted prior to major development interventions in the region. The methodology of the workshop, structured to generate data useful for understanding the physical and social systems integral to water resources planning, provides a framework for future water need explorations in similar settings in Ethiopi...
متن کاملEvaluating the effectiveness of teaching nature-based strategies on the Bioarchitecture design process
Introduction: At a time when modern rational man saw himself as the source of all values and saw nature as an inexhaustible source of raw materials for the development of industry and the satisfaction of his needs, architecture became a tool for meeting the physical and material needs of man. The spread of this thinking led to many problems, including environmental crises; In order to improve...
متن کاملThe lterative Nature of the Engineering Design Process: a Telescopic Revision Model (RESEARCH NOTE)
The satisfying of human needs through designing technical objects requires the compromisation and settling of various conflicting criteria at different stages of the engineering design process. The need for back and forth adjustment of design specifications, concept finding, and design embodiment can be considered to be carried out in a telescopic review fashion. The present study is concerned ...
متن کاملAssessing Risks of Participatory Design Projects
Assessing risks of projects is difficult from a practical as well as from a theoretical point of view but valuable in both dimensions. Project management and risks in projects can be discussed from a systems theory perspective that focuses on how systems develop and stay stable in spite of change. This approach is refined and applied to in three phases of a project-life-cycle (decisions made be...
